Sony VR has gotten a price

399$ Play Station VR release in October

In Europe however we will have to pay 399€ (euros) which is more. I am not familiar with the third currence that was displayed on their conference. However, the fact that the price is announced and that it was about the same as the price for a Play Station 4 system is good news.
If anything, the risk was that the price would have been higher

There are however some things that we need to consider. There are no controllers included in the price as far as I understand. And the Play Station camera is not included either, and you will need the camera to use VR.

The speccs are shown in the image below.

The speccs will not be as powerful as Vive and Rift. We all knew that from the beginning so we can't attack Sony for that right now.

There are upsides of the Play Station system though. The price is a lot less than the competition even if you don't own a PS4 system already. And there has been a lot of talk about the number of games being released for the PS4 VR.
Sony have promised that 50 titles will be released from October until the end of the year.
And Starwars Battlefront will be released as PS4 VR exclusive.

And the competition grows now after the announcement that AMD will be involved in one VR product called "Sulon".

As a consumer, we will probably gain a lot better products and at better prices due to all of this competition. Let's just hope that the products don't get worse because it tries to be compatible with too many different VR systems.

Personally I am glad about the price on the PS4 VR because I will probably go for a PS4 soon. That way I figure that I can enjoy VR at a reasonable price later on.

When it comes to the news about the Star Wars Battlefront though I was a bit skeptic. The article I read stated that it was not decided whether the VR release and the normal release would be different or the same.
Honestly?
How would it be possible to release two similar games, where one is competing on the normal market with the sick demands of graphics etc and the other one will be first generation of VR?!

The graphics on the first generation of VR will not come close to the insane versions of normal video games there is out there. So I believe that either the game will simply be supported by VR in the sense that you can watch the game in your headset and enjoy a big ass screen or that they will cut back on the graphics a great deal for a full VR release.

Is it really the first AAA title that was announced for VR though? Tekken 7 was said to come with VR support. And we all assumed that it would not be a VR game, just that you can use the headset to watch the game through.
But now I wonder. Are they so confident in their abilities to create good games for VR already? Will both Star Wars Battlefront and Tekken 7 be in full VR?
A beat em up in VR?

It is most likely just going to be about using the headset as monitor.
