The Internet have proof of everything being true

Everything is proved according to the Internet

This particular diet has helped thousands!

Lose 15kg in 1 month!

Gain 5kg lean muscle mass in 1 month!

On the Internet there are a lot of adds with big promises. When following the link there are convincing arguments supporting the theory. There could be a lot of statistics and research results.

This is where you need to think it through.

Does this make any sense?

Because in the world of research, you can twist anything into showing whatever you want it to show. All you have to do is choose the participants according to what you wish to achieve or you could simply skip to tell all the details surrounding the experiment.

Let's say they are selling this fantastic machine that is for abdominal training. If they have pictures of super fit people saying that they have used it.
Yeah right! I thiiiink they have been working their asses off doing other work outs and kept their diet under strict control. Since they do not simply use a normal fit person. They often use super muscular men or super fit women for these commercials.

Another thing you might come across is..
Some even sell some machine and they send you a dieting schedule. They guarentee weight loss or you will get your money back.
The thing is though. That diet alone will guarentee that you will lose weight since there are such a low amount of calories in the diet. The machine does not matter at all.

When you read something on the Internet. What kind of source is it? Is there information saying this is bullshit? You might even want to contact some kind of medical advisor in some cases. Since a lot of crazy shit is spread on the Internet. Like diets that might actually harm you if you keep doing it for long periods of time without any thought of what the consequences might be.

So be careful out there. Take good care of your bodies! Don't let anyone fool you into buying expensive shit that is useless. Sure they might have studies showing their product is great, but a lot of studies are founded by companies that want specific results and then of course the result will show that their product is great.

Some things to consider, it does not have to be hard to change bad habits.

1. You don't have to work out to lose weight. You can do that just by controlling your diet.
2. You don't have to replace your entire lifestyle. Just start out small. Do you eat snacks every day? Skip a day or two at first. When you are used to that, go further and perhaps only eat it on weekends or something. We are all different people. Some of us will have a hard time just cutting out some habits straight away. That does not make you a bad person. Find out what your motivation is, then changing stuff will be easier.
3. If you don't know which information to trust on the Internet. I would recommend going to big websites that have a good reputation. Ask in their forum for help. Or of course, send me a PM and I will try to help out.
